NoSmokingAgain offers Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy as a modality for smoking cessation for referrals of patients with respiratory diseases including OPCD, and other pulmonary conditions from a variety of healthcare sources including health centers, hospital trusts, strategic healthcare trust and primary care trusts.

Those healthcare professionals who wish to refer patients requiring immediate smoking cessation, are invited to refer specifically those patients who are categorised as long-term heavy smokers (15 packyears and over) for clinical hypnotherapy as an intervention for long term abstention.

Our service, which complements existing activities in smoking cessation, consists of an innovative, low-cost approach in terms of delivery of a high performance and thoroughly tested BMA (UK) AMA (USA) recognised smoking cessation intervention. (NHS Registered) Our delivery method comprises a sequence of hypnotherapy sessions that are 100% internet based, allowing smokers to receive repeatable non-clinical cessation therapy in their own homes at their own convenience.

Smoking cessation and instant abstention is achieved by means of a targeted combination of advanced clinical hypnotherapy and CBT, which, through filtering, is specifically targeted at those smokers with 15 pack years or higher (1 pack year= (NC/20)xn (number of cigarettes smoked per day divided by 20, times number of years smoked) who are most vulnerable to respiratory and other smoking-related diseases. After undergoing our intervention, patients will, if required, be ready immediately for further treatment of respiratory diseases and/or (assisted or non-assisted) pulmonary rehabilitation.

Our service is classed as a private treatment, however, because of the automated nature of the service, cost can be kept at a level where patients do not object to the financial outlay.
